We engage a pool of casual teachers who are experienced, subject matter and curriculum experts, and able to step in for either half / full teaching days, or short blocks as required. To this end, we are currently looking for English teachers to work on a casual basis throughout the academic year.

As for our teachers, they are responsible for the intellectual development and wellbeing of their students. They do this by developing and delivering academic programs through the Dalton Plan, managing the administration of student assessment and results, and marking / record keeping to a regular cycle to keep our students engaged, motivated, and able to reach their learning goals throughout the year.

What You Will Do
- Teach English to girls in years 7 to 12, and according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) curriculum and Dalton principles of responsibility, independence, collaboration and reflection
- Ensure the knowledge, understanding and success of each student
- Use an innovative curriculum via the school Learning Management System CANVAS)
- Use formative and summative assessment to determine student progress in English
- Create a stimulating classroom environment where students can flourish
- Assist other members of the department and share resources
- Assist with the supervision of excursions after hours as required
- Other duties as directed by the Head of English.
What You Will Bring
- A tertiary qualification in teaching
- Accreditation to teach in NSW with the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)
- Ability to differentiate for a diverse group of non-selective students and teach to the strengths of girls
- Ability to teach English to HSC levels and mark Year 11 and 12 English assessments using appropriate criteria
- Demonstrated excellence in communication and writing skills.
- Proven ICT skills within an environment where students bring a personal device to school.
- Well-developed time management and organisational skills.
- Willingness to continue to develop as a teacher.
- A current First Aid and CPR Certificate.
- A valid Working with Children clearance.
