We are seeking dedicated, resilient and compassionate Behaviour Mentors to join a specialist SEMH through school in South London, supporting pupils across both Primary and Secondary phases. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of young people with additional needs, social‑emotional challenges, and behavioural barriers to learning.

About the Role:

• Build trusting, supportive relationships with pupils
• Provide 1:1 and small‑group support around emotional regulation, behaviour and engagement
• Implement de‑escalation and behaviour management strategies
• Work closely with teachers, pastoral staff and external professionals
• Support pupils with SEMH needs, trauma backgrounds and challenging behaviours
• Promote a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment

Requirements:

• Experience working with children with additional needs and challenging behaviour (education, youth work, care, PRU or similar settings)
• Strong behaviour management and de‑escalation skills
• Resilience, empathy and a calm approach
• A genuine desire to support vulnerable young people
• Ability to commit full‑time from next term
