Are you a passionate Mathematics educator ready to inspire and lead? Christian Brothers’ High School, Lewisham is seeking an experienced and motivated teacher to join our Mathematics leadership team as Assistant Mathematics Coordinator. This three-year, 1-point Coordinator appointment includes an ongoing teaching role and commences in Term 1, 2026.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Mathematics Coordinator to join our dynamic Mathematics faculty and play a key role in supporting high-quality teaching and learning across the school

About the role

The Assistant Mathematics Coordinator will work collaboratively with the Mathematics Coordinator to:

• Support the design and implementation of engaging Mathematics programs aligned with NESA requirements and the school’s learning framework.
• Model and promote evidence-based teaching practice that fosters curiosity, critical thinking, and academic excellence.
• Assist in mentoring and supporting Mathematics staff in curriculum planning, assessment, and classroom pedagogy.
• Contribute to faculty planning, administration, and the ongoing development of resources and assessment practices.
• Encourage student engagement and achievement through innovative and inclusive approaches to teaching Mathematics.

About You

You are an enthusiastic and dedicated educator with a genuine passion for Mathematics and a desire to make a positive impact on student learning. You demonstrate leadership experience (or potential as an emerging leader) and a collaborative approach to supporting colleagues and driving excellence in teaching and learning.

You will bring:

• Strong curriculum knowledge and a deep commitment to high-quality Mathematics education and pedagogy
• Accreditation with NESA and a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC)
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organisational skills
• Experience or emerging capability in mentoring staff and leading learning initiatives
• A commitment to the values of the Edmund Rice tradition and the mission of Christian Brothers’ High School, Lewisham—to educate young men to be compassionate, capable, and courageous in serving others
