Assistant Gardener - Handyperson
This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 1, 2026 Piara Waters Senior High School (SHS) is situated in the beautifully landscaped suburb of Piara Waters, approximately 25kms south of Perth. The school is surrounded by luscious greenery and forms part of the vibrant, multicultural community of Piara Waters. The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Assistant Gardener – Handyperson to help maintain our school’s outdoor spaces and facilities. The role plays an important part in ensuring students and staff have access to attractive, safe and well-kept external learning environments. The Assistant Gardener – Handyperson is responsible for maintaining the school grounds, including turf areas, garden beds, shrubs and trees, and ensuring these spaces remain clean, tidy and safe. The role supports the development of a healthy growing environment across all soft landscaping, such as lawns, garden areas and broader turf spaces. It also includes the upkeep of hard landscaping features, including paved areas, pathways and courts. An important part of the role is assisting the Senior Gardener/Handyperson in performing minor repairs and maintenance tasks such as those on irrigation systems, minor plumbing tasks, maintenance, carpentry tasks and assisting with the setup of school events.
