Salary: $141,106 full-time equivalent plus superannuation

St John Paul II College (JPC) is a Catholic, co-educational secondary school serving families in the north of Canberra. About the Role

As Assistant English Coordinator, you'll enhance English education by supporting curriculum development, mentoring teaching staff, and ensuring consistent, high-quality learning outcomes for students. Working closely with the English Coordinator, you'll collaborate with the staff to implement best practices, develop engaging resources, and provide targeted professional support to teachers. This varied role combines curriculum leadership with educational support responsibilities, offering excellent professional growth opportunities while working with passionate educators committed to academic excellence within our Catholic educational framework.

This appointment is temporary to replace an employee who is on parental leave. The incumbent is entitled to return earlier to their substantive position in accordance with the Fair Work Act 2009.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Education or Master of Teaching.
  • ACT Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) clearance
  • ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) registration
  • Accreditation in accordance with Work Teach and Lead in Catholic Education Canberra and Goulburn policy
