ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a proactive and detail oriented Accountant to join our dedicated Finance team. This position plays an integral role in supporting our financial operations, leading and managing the Accounts Payable function. You will have the opportunity to apply your accounting knowledge and strong attention to detail to ensure the effective management of our financial processes.
Working closely with the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices, maintaining banking and financial records, assisting with monthly and annual reporting tasks, and contributing to continuous improvement within our finance systems and procedures. You will also provide operational support across a broad range of finance related activities, including reconciliations, budgeting assistance and procurement.

ABOUT YOU
You are an experienced finance professional with a solid understanding of financial accounting processes and best practice in accounts payable management. You take pride in your accuracy, organisation and commitment to excellence, and you are motivated by the opportunity to contribute to a professional and values-driven school community.
You are a team player who demonstrates initiative, sound judgement and a solutions-focused mindset. You are comfortable managing competing priorities, meeting deadlines, and maintaining confidentiality at all times. Your strong interpersonal and communication skills enable you to build positive relationships with staff, suppliers and the wider School community.
You will also have:
- Relevant qualifications in Finance, Accounting or Business, with a minimum requirement of a bachelor’s degree.
- Previous experience in a finance or accounting role, including experience in accounts payable.
- Experience in bank reconciliations, financial reporting and procurement processes.
- Strong computer literacy, including advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
- A Working with Children Check.
- Excellent organisational skills, accuracy and attention to detail.
- A commitment to professional integrity and adherence to school policies and values.
