St Michael's Primary School, Nelson Bay is seeking a Permanent Part Time (10.5hrs per week) Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Worker to join the team January 2026.

St Michael's Primary School, Nelson Bay is located in the Port Stephens Region, a short 45-minute drive from Newcastle CBD.

The purpose of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island Education Worker is to focus on supporting students, teachers and school communities in the areas of culture, spirituality and student wellbeing and engagement. Promoting the intent of the Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle’s Reconciliation Action Plan – Reflect, liaising with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and promoting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives within the school will be essential to the realisation of these objectives.
