We are seeking a passionate and culturally grounded Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Worker to join our school community in a temporary part-time role (0.3 FTE) starting in 2026.
This role focuses on supporting students, teachers, and the wider school community in the areas of culture, spirituality, wellbeing, and engagement.
You’ll play a vital part in promoting the Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle’s Reconciliation Action Plan – Reflect, and in strengthening connections with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and communities.

The purpose of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island Education Worker is to focus on supporting students, teachers and school communities in the areas of culture, spirituality and student wellbeing and engagement. Promoting the intent of the Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle’s Reconciliation Action Plan – Reflect, liaising with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander community and promoting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander perspectives within the school will be essential to the realisation of these objectives.
