The Position:

We are seeking a Permanent Full Time Senior English Teacher to join our Christ-centred teaching community. The position is due to commence in January 2026.

The position is located at our Melton campus. Experience in teaching year 11 and year 12 VCE English is essential.

The Person:

Education and Experience

  • The suitable candidate will be a skilled educator within the teaching profession with a Bachelor of Education, VIT Registration (or provisional if a graduate), and knowledge with Teaching VCE English.
  • Ability to lead, inspire, support, and encourage students through teaching from a Christian worldview.
  • Capacity to select and use appropriately, a wide range of teaching and assessment strategies to suit the needs of a diverse range of students.

  • Actively contributes to Heathdale Christian College's team culture by the means of displaying humility, a desire for excellence, a strong sense of self-awareness, and collaboration.
  • Demonstrate a high level of communication, professional and interpersonal skills when relating to teachers, students, parents, and colleagues.

The College was established in 1982 and has two campuses at Werribee and Melton. Our Werribee campus caters for students from Kindergarten to Year 12 through a Primary and Secondary school model. With Melton being established in 2014 and is now offering Year 11 at that campus, with continued growth to occur each over to year 12.
