At Our Lady of Mount Carmel, we are passionate about our students and their wellbeing and education.
We are looking for a passionate and vibrant Year 1/2 teacher to join us in second semester. This is a maternity leave position for the rest of 2026, which will probably continue in 2027 and possibly become an ongoing position.

The successful applicant will have:

• An understanding of contemporary learning & teaching
• A commitment to MACS 2030 Strategic Plan and Vision for Instruction
• A demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the Science of Learning and explicit teaching
• Strong collaboration skills
• Enthusiasm and flexibility
• Commitment to Catholic Education
• Strong communication skills
• Enjoy being part of a team

Experience and expertise with the following is highly desirable:

• Explicit Instruction (using Ochre resources)
• PBL (Positive Behaviours for Learning)
• Accreditation to teach RE (or willingness to commit to undertaking this within 5 years)
• VIT registration (essential)
