Vocational Trainer and Assessor
We are seeking to establish a pool of Vocational Trainer and Assessors for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Darling Range Sports College is a highly successful comprehensive Independent Public School with a student population of around 1,100 and over 120 teaching and support staff. Darling Range Sports College first opened in 1975 as Forrestfield Senior High School and later transitioned to a sports college in 2008. It is unique in Western Australia as the only sports college in the state.
As an Independent Public School, we provide specialist sporting programs in AFL/AFLW, athletics, baseball, basketball, netball, rugby league, soccer an swimming. Our teams train and play in our state-of-the-art facilities where athletes also have access to the strength and conditioning centre.

The Role
Suitable applicants will design, prepare and deliver quality training programs and assessment strategies whilst implementing training packages or endorsed training courses and develop delivery plans and assessment tools. They will instruct, train and assess groups of students in relevant workplace environments as well as prepare and deliver skilled demonstrations as required whilst engaging and mentoring students in training and assessment processes, ensuring students are fully aware of course requirements, timelines and resources.
Suitable applicants will provide ongoing constructive feedback to participants on the outcomes of assessments and guidance on future learning activities in relation to these outcomes whilst maintaining and continuously improving delivery and assessment materials in accordance with the Standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTOs), training package guidelines and updates and the Department standards. They will maintain delivery and assessment records and report results as required whilst conducting recognition of Prior Learning assessments of students as required. Suitable applicants should establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including, but not limited to schools, students, parents and employers. They should also comply with occupational health and safety legislation, policies and procedures.
