Position Descriptor:
Yalata Anangu School is part of a remote Aboriginal Community in the Anangu Lands Partnership, on the edge of the Nullarbor Plain in South Australia with beaches nearby. Yalata School is looking for a dedicated and culturally sensitive educator to lead our Playgroup program as well as provide Non-Instructional Time (NIT) teaching for our Junior Primary students. This is a unique role that combines early childhood development and family engagement with the opportunity for working in the classroom.
Playgroup program delivery - Facilitate Families as First Teachers (FaFT) Playgroup sessions, using culturally responsive, play-based approaches that engage families in supporting children's early learning. The Playgroup teacher may be required to work in Preschool when necessary.
Junior Primary NIT Teaching - Deliver engaging, curriculum-aligned lessons for Junior Primary (JP) students during Non-Instructional Time (NIT) periods.
The successful candidate will work closely with our Early Years Coordinator/ Preschool teacher and Anangu Educators.

Country Zone Allowance- $10, 737
