• Position Descriptor: Exciting opportunity: Aboriginal Pathways SAASTA Specialist STEM Academy Teacher Are you passionate about empowering Aboriginal students to explore their potential in STEM, leadership, and culture? Do you have experience teaching and mentoring young people in a dynamic, hands-on environment? The Aboriginal Pathways SAASTA program is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher to join our SAASTA Specialist STEM Academy, where you'll inspire the next generation of young Aboriginal leaders in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. About the Program: Students attend the SAASTA Specialist STEM Academy one day a week, engaging in cultural and educational STEM learning experiences. The program combines hands-on STEM education, cultural engagement, leadership development, and provides students with credits towards their Stage 1 Scientific Studies for SACE. Students learn from industry professionals, meet community elders, and connect with mentors in the field of STEM. Your Role: As the Teacher for this innovative program, you will: ? Guide students through their academy day focused on STEM, leadership development, and scientific studies aligned with SACE requirements ? Foster a culturally safe environment where Aboriginal students can thrive alongside their peers ? Support students in building connections with industry professionals, mentors, and community leaders, providing valuable real-world experiences ? Plan and deliver engaging, culturally responsive lessons ? Integrate Aboriginal cultural knowledge and perspectives into your teaching ? Support student achievement, leadership, and personal development ? Foster a positive, respectful, and inclusive learning environment ?
