Immanuel Gawler is a vibrant primary school community of the Lutheran Church, where learning is purposeful, creative, and grounded in Christian values.

We are seeking passionate and flexible Relief Teachers who can step into our classrooms and continue the journey of guiding students to grow academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually.

• Deliver engaging and high-quality learning experiences that reflect the school’s values and learning principles
• Create and maintain a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
• Use effective strategies for behaviour management and student engagement
• Nurture students’ spiritual growth through teaching and pastoral care
• Communicate positively with colleagues, students and families to build strong relationships
• Contribute to the shared responsibilities of staff, including playground duty, devotions and professional learning
• Support explicit teaching practices while also encouraging inquiry, creativity and critical thinking

Experience & Attributes

• Ability to effectively teach across primary year levels
• Understanding of outcomes-based learning, and explicit and inquiry-driven pedagogies
• Excellent communication skills with students, families, and staff
• A commitment to inclusion, diversity and student wellbeing
• A collaborative, positive and growth-oriented approach to teaching
• Passion for fostering curiosity, joy and a love of learning in young people
• Willingness to uphold and model the values of a Lutheran school community

Qualifications & Training

• Current registration with the South Australian Teachers Registration Board
• Current First Aid Certificate (for schools)
• Current Working with Children Check
• RRHAN-EC Mandatory Notification Certification

Immanuel Gawler is situated near the Barossa Valley and is 52 kilometres north of Adelaide CBD. The school is close to the town centre. The learning community comprises of approximately 350 students / 15 classes from Foundation to Year 6.
