Job Description

We are seeking Yiddish and/or Classical Hebrew speaking teachers with knowledge and experience in teaching Jewish Studies, LOTE (Yiddish and/or Classical Hebrew),

The Arts (CLIL) Yiddish, Humanities (CLIL) Yiddish.

School Ethos: Adass Israel School is an orthodox Jewish school located in Elsternwick. We are seeking to employ a number of teachers, commencing as soon as possible.

Part-time over several days per week. 

Availability to teach out of school hours, for extra-curricular or community activities would be beneficial.

• Competent in Yiddish and/or Classical Hebrew
• An understanding and sensitivity to the religious and cultural values of the Adass Israel community
• V.I.T. registration essential
• Demonstrated teaching ability
• English language skill at a level appropriate for communication with staff, parents and students
• Experience and interpersonal skills appropriate to teaching
• A commitment to child safety, well-being and protection
• Knowledge and experience in OH&S
