Teachers – Northwest Schools / Colleges
Catholic Education Tasmania is a community of thirty-eight schools and colleges serving over 17,000 students, their families, and over 4,000 employees across Tasmania. We are seeking teachers across 8 schools from Queenstown to Smithton and Latrobe.
Reporting to the principal, you will provide for the spiritual, academic, and wellbeing needs of students through personal example, integrity, and behaviour.
As a teacher in Catholic Education Tasmania, you will:
• Be a part of our journey to improve the learning achievement of every student in our schools
• Develop and support a school culture that empowers students to think critically, discern wisely, and value the search for truth
• Create and maintain a safe and engaging environment to enable positive learning to take place
• Be willing to participate fully in the life of the school
Some of the skills and experiences we are looking for are:
• Appropriate graduate and/or postgraduate qualifications
• Registration as a teacher in Tasmania or the ability to gain registration prior to commencement
• Understanding of the Australian curriculum relevant to Tasmanian Catholic education
• Understanding of current teaching pedagogy and best practice
