Hervey Bay Special School is seeking passionate and dedicated Special Education teachers who are eager to make a genuine difference within a supportive and collaborative school community. As a high-performing school committed to achieving the best possible outcomes for students, we welcome teachers with experience or a willingness to work with students with disability and a strong understanding of the Australian Curriculum. This role suits flexible educators who are motivated to contribute meaningfully to specialist education.

Current Temporary Opportunities:

• Special Education - Year 3-6 (part time 0.4FTE) (commencing ASAP - 11/12/26, working Tuesdays and Wednesdays)
• Special Education - Prep - Year 12 (part time 0.2FTE) (commencing ASAP - 11/12/26, working Mondays)

What You'll Need

• Prior experience of special education valued but not essential.
• Strong curriculum experience and ability to adjust curriculum to meet learner needs is essential.
• Relevant teaching qualification
• Full or provisional QCT registration
• Australian working rights or valid visa
• Pre-service and graduate teachers are encouraged to apply (include practicum reports, mentor statements & unofficial transcript)
