We are seeking to establish a pool of Primary Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 3, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

West Byford Primary School (PS) is a level 6 school that opened in February 2013. The school is located on Kardan Boulevard, Byford; approximately 41kms south of Perth and situated in the Shire of Serpentine Jarrahdale. Byford is a rapidly growing suburb that includes a mix of young and established families. Students attending West Byford PS enjoy state of the art facilities in a fresh, contemporary environment. The spacious landscaped grounds provide an abundance of play, sporting and quiet sitting areas for students to enjoy while classrooms are outfitted with up-to-date technologies to enhance student learning opportunities.

The Role

We are seeking Primary Teachers with exceptional interpersonal skills and a natural ability to build strong, genuine relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. Suitable applicants should establish inclusive, positive classroom environments, set high expectations, and foster a growth mindset while supporting students’ social and emotional development.

Ideal applicants would display exemplary teaching practice, a strong commitment to excellence, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, whole-school environment focused on continuous professional growth. They should use high-impact teaching strategies and have experience designing and delivering engaging literacy and numeracy programs, with a strong understanding of differentiation to meet diverse student needs.

Applicants should be skilled in using assessment tools to inform teaching, provide meaningful feedback, and guide future planning. A commitment to evidence-based practice is highly regarded, alongside knowledge of explicit instruction and experience applying it within a whole-school instructional framework. Suitable applicants should clearly display how their instructional strategies and student engagement approaches have positively impacted student achievement.

  • hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.

  • consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.
