Piara Waters Primary School (PS) are seeking to establish a pool of highly competent Music, Drama and Visual Arts teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

Piara Waters PS opened in February 2012 catering for students in Kindergarten to Year 6 and is located in the suburb of Piara Waters (South Metropolitan Education Region). As an Independent Public School, we utilise the flexibilities afforded to us, to ensure the highest possible outcomes for students. The Role

We will be immediately filling a 0.4FTE Music and/or Drama teacher to commence in Term 1, with flexibility to commence in Term 2. There will be visual arts positions which will commence in Term 2.

Suitable applicants will ideally teach Music and/or Drama and/or Visual Arts to a range of classes from Pre-Primary to Year 6.

Music teachers would lead the school choir and support the school in putting on whole school events (e.g. ANZAC day, end of year concert). You would also coordinate the instrumental music program in the school on behalf of The School for Instrumental Music.

Suitable applicants would be part of our Performing Arts team, which includes music, drama and visual arts. The team works collaboratively to ensure students receive a balanced and high-quality program across both music, drama and visual arts.

Suitable teachers should have a high level of Western Australian curriculum, instructional and assessment knowledge, and ideally have a proven track record to work effectively in a collaborative team.

Our teachers know their students and the curriculum well and classroom programs are responsive to these.

Suitable applicants should work positively and effectively with all students and families and be able to differentiate the curriculum in order to meet differing student needs.
