We are seeking to establish a pool of Italian – Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role
Canning Vale College is seeking to establish a pool of Languages (Italian) teachers who are receptive to change and caters for the learning styles of twenty first century students.
We are seeking teachers who ideally will foster student engagement and should work to maximise student achievement in the Italian language, ideally applying contemporary understandings of best practice around second language acquisition. You ideally will work collaboratively in a small team environment, with all members of the school and, with a wider community to provide quality educational experiences through promoting the school’s vision and strategic directions.
Suitable applicants should have a deep belief that every student is capable of successful learning and exhibit highly effective teaching practices and a willingness to seek constant improvement in their own practice.
An excellent knowledge of the West Australian Curriculum, a capacity to deliver content in an engaging manner and a willingness to integrate technology into learning experiences are also desirable qualities.
Suitable applicants will ideally be able to display how they will provide educational opportunities and activities which enable students to achieve to their highest potential. In addition, the ability to engage students using a range of skills, knowledge of effective classroom management strategies and restorative practices will be considered favourably.
The ability and initiative to work well with your colleagues as part of a team to develop teaching strategies, resources and approaches to ensure each student can reach their maximum potential should be addressed in your application.
