Total remuneration package: Remuneration package valued at up to $146,635.00. Base salary ranges from $85,000.00 to $129,948.00, plus leave loading and employer's contribution to superannuation. Base salary rates above the minimum are available depending on experience.

Position Information

Our school is located in the suburb of Lake Haven on the Central Coast. The school was established in 1976 & has developed a proud connection to the Darkinjung people as the traditional custodians of the land on which our school is built and the place on which our young people grow, learn & make connections. We are a coeducational comprehensive high school, with an academically selective class in each year group. The student population consists of approximately 1000 students, including; 80 students in our Special Education Support classes, 160 identified High Potential & Gifted students & 200 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.

Selection Criteria

  1.  Approval to teach Geography (7-12), Modern History, History Extension and History (7-10).
  2. Highly developed classroom practice with the ability to develop, implement and evaluate evidence-based, differentiated programs, resources, and assessments that support a culture of high expectations.
  3.  Proven capacity to foster student engagement through proactive wellbeing and classroom management strategies which cater to a diverse range of student learning abilities
  4. Highly developed interpersonal skills with a proven capacity to collaborate and work as a dynamic member in a positive faculty culture and to engage in whole school programs.
  5. Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Educational Policies with the proven ability to embed Aboriginal Perspectives that engage and increase all students' knowledge and appreciation of Aboriginal peoples.

Conditions

An unconditional full approval to teach is a requirement. If you do not hold a full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education, you are required to commence the application process at the same time as you apply for this teaching opportunity.
