This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 1, 2026

The Role

We are seeking teachers specialising in Design and Technologies for the following specialised areas:

  • Food and catering – Year 7 to 10
  • Food Science and Technology – Year 11 to 12
  • Children, Family and the Community – Year 7 to 12
  • Woodwork and Metalwork – Year 7 to 10
  • Building and Construction – Year 11 and 12
  • Materials Design and Technology in Years 11 and 12

It would also be advantageous to hold a current Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment. We currently offer the Certificate II in Engineering Pathways.

The Successful applicant will ideally be highly motivated, student focused and able to provide relevant and meaningful Technologies experiences. We encourage the use of innovative and creative teaching strategies, incorporating the ability to differentiate the curriculum according to the student’s needs.

Suitable applicant should be able to work collaboratively with other staff to improve their practice through peer observation, performance management and Professional Learning Communities. We are a Positive Behaviour Support School, and the successful applicant will ideally have strong teaching and classroom skills.

Eligibility

  • Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration
  • be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
  • apply for a WA Working with Children Check before you start; and
  • consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start
