Teacher - Art - Media and Graphic Design
This is a permanent part-time (0.9FTE) position commencing Term 1, 2026 Bob Hawke College in Subiaco opened in February 2020 to more than 250 Year 7 students and is the first high density public secondary college in Western Australia. We understand the importance of looking after the wellbeing of the whole child. Every student at our College will be well known and valued. Our pastoral care approach has been specifically designed to support young adults. Specialist staff provide students with individual support as well as health and wellbeing programs. The Role
The successful applicant will ideally be committed to promoting and fostering student engagement and academic achievement in a supportive environment where success is celebrated. They should use their professional knowledge, understanding and experience to deliver an engaging and relevant Arts curriculum, from the early and middle adolescent phases of learning through to senior secondary courses, including experience teaching Media Production and Analysis and/or Design in a Graphic Design context in Year 11 and 12.
They should be committed to personal and professional growth and embrace opportunities for collaboration. The successful applicant will ideally display the ability to develop innovative classroom practices and utilise ICT, specifically Adobe software, to provide integrated, personalised and authentic learning experiences for students. A key attribute is the ability to create environments conducive to learning and provide educational opportunities that are fun, purposeful, relevant and cater for differing student learning needs.
