Student Support Officer
We are seeking to establish a pool of Student Support Officers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 1, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role
As the Student Support Officer, suitable applicants will assist in the coordination of the Student Support Program and in developing and introducing systems and intervention strategies, which provide a responsive and effective support service for students, family members and staff. Implementing strategies aimed at school engagement, positive behaviour and improved attendance and focuses on social and work related skills, will be highly regarded.
Understanding trauma informed practice and restorative justice principles, as well as maintaining high expectations of our students will be important, therefore experience utilising these practices is advantageous. Suitable applicants should be able to form positive relationships with parents so that they support the outcomes of the program and the college ethos. In addition, support administrative processes that ensure a responsive and effective student support service.

Eligibility

- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.
