Veritas Education is working in partnership with a nurturing and inclusive primary SEN provision in Newham, seeking a passionate and skilled Speech and Language Therapist or Makaton Specialist to support pupils with speech, language, and communication needs.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a setting that values tailored interventions and child-centred support, making a real difference to young learners' development and confidence.

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver 1:1 and small group speech and language interventions
• Use Makaton and other communication strategies to enhance access to the curriculum
• Support pupils with a range of needs, including autism, speech delays, and developmental language disorders
• Collaborate with teaching staff and SEN teams to develop effective support strategies
• Contribute to EHCP planning and reviews

Requirements:

• Qualified Speech and Language Therapist or trained Makaton Specialist (Level 2+ desirable)
• Experience working with children with SEN in an educational setting
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Flexible, proactive, and passionate about inclusive education
