School Psychologist
Success Primary School (PS) are seeking to establish a pool of School Psychologists for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 4, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
Success PS is located in the City of Cockburn. Approximately 583 students are enrolled in our school, with 72 students enrolled in our education support program and 511 in our mainstream program. Approximately 20% of children come from homes where English is an Additional Language (EAL/D). Success PS has purpose-built facilities to accommodate a range of student abilities, including a hydrotherapy pool, sensory room and gymnasium.

The school psychologist will work in close partnership with our student services team who support students in our mainstream and education support program, contributing to a coordinated and inclusive approach to student wellbeing. A thorough understanding of Positive Behaviour Support strategies is essential, along with proven experience in case management for students with high-level and complex needs, including those with disabilities.

The Role
Success PS is seeking motivated School Psychologist to join their friendly team. To be suitable for this role you will ideally have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and will be able to collaborate and work effectively with our leadership team, students, and parents.
The suitable applicant will ideally be able to develop and maintain positive relationships with a variety of stakeholders, consult widely, and able to work effectively as both part of a team and independently when required.
The suitable applicant will ideally collaborate closely with school leadership and the Student Services team. They will join a community of motivated and innovative educators committed to ensuring the wellbeing and educational outcomes of students.

- be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
- obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start; and
- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.

- Demonstrated ability to implement school psychology services and programs in an educational environment to maximise student learning outcomes.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the implementation and evaluation of a variety of psychological approaches appropriate for individual, group and system-level intervention.
- Demonstrated high level written and oral communication skills, demonstrating the capacity to produce correspondence, reports and case notes, and interview and training (facilitation) skills.
- Demonstrated highly developed interpersonal skills, which demonstrate an ability to function in a self-directed way, and as a member of an interdisciplinary team, working with a range of clients across the lifespan, Department personnel and inter-agency partners across a variety of contexts.
- Demonstrated ability to apply analytical and conceptual skills to issues identification, risk assessment and analysis, intervention and evaluation.
