We are seeking to establish a pool of School Officers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role

As School Officer you will be the first point of contact for our school and be responsible for completing administrative duties including greeting all visitors, answering the telephone, and responding to routine enquiries and requests for information. Suitable applicants should have a friendly, positive, and caring attitude and possess the qualities to promote excellence within our school and to interact with parents and the wider community.

You should model effective and quality customer and administrative support service delivery and use good interpersonal and communication skills to work in collaboration with the administration team, school support staff, our school community and teaching staff. In addition, you should support student-related activities such as assisting with student enrolment procedures, publishing school newsletter, updating social media pages, compass including billing and enrolments and operate a range of software packages particularly databases, word processing.

Eligibility

To work with us, you must:

  • be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
  • obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start; and
  • consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.

    • Demonstrated good verbal and written communication skills, including application of customer service principles and practices.
    • Demonstrated good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
