The Role

Hudson Park PS is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic School Officer who is proactive, organised, and capable of working both independently and as part of our friendly team.

Located in the heart of Girrawheen, Hudson Park PS is a unique, welcoming multicultural community. We are looking for someone who ideally is committed, hard-working, and displays excellent time management, along with the flexibility to prioritise tasks in a busy and changing environment.

The School Officer will excel in the provision of general clerical and administrative tasks, displaying exemplary attention to detail in the accurate maintenance of school databases and the preparation of correspondence, newsletters, notices and financial processing. Part of your role is to support student-related activities such as assisting with student enrolment procedures

This role will play an important part in supporting the financial and operational functions of the school, working closely with the Manager Corporate Services. The role requires providing accurate and professional support to parents, students, staff, and community members. The successful applicant would assist with a range of administrative tasks including invoicing, finance, enrolments, attendance tracking, first aid and student support. The successful applicant should maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience in office administration, ideally in a busy school environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Familiarity with Department of Education systems such as SIS, RM Billing, RM Finance, HRMIS, and Compass.
  • Ideally, successful applicants will be experienced in MS Office and MS 365 suite of programs.
  • A focus on teamwork, self-motivation, initiative, attention to detail, excellence in customer service delivery, the ability to meet deadlines and administrative support is highly desirable.
  • Strong attention to detail and capacity to ensure data integrity

    • Demonstrated ability in using computers and a range of application software packages, particularly databases, spreadsheets and word processing.
    • Demonstrated good verbal and written communication skills and experience in the application of customer service principles and practices.
    • Demonstrated good interpersonal skills and ability to work unsupervised and in a team environment
