About the role

Reporting to the Business Manager, the Risk & Compliance Officer will be responsible for providing expert OH&S, Risk, Compliance, Records Management and Emergency Management advice to facilitate the best practice across the College.

Key areas of responsibility include:

• Risk and compliance
• Online risk and compliance systems
• Occupational health and safety
• Policy review and development
• Maintenance of Risk registers
• Preparation of reports on risk, compliance and incidents

Skills and experience

• An awareness of, and commitment to the College's aims as a Catholic College
• A demonstrated commitment to the safety, wellbeing and inclusion of all children
• Sound knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety legislation as it applies to the educational setting
• Experience in system development and maintenance
• Previous experience in policy creation
• Knowledge of Risk Management processes
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Knowledge of Injury Management requirements as they apply to an educational setting
• Collegial approach to managing OH&S, fostering understanding and ownership
• Strong communication skills and confidence to present to groups of people
• A valid Working with Children Check and Police Check
