This is a unique opportunity to lead a successful, inclusive school with a strong culture and a determined focus on attracting, retaining and developing people who are genuinely committed to the very best pedagogical and wellbeing outcomes for young people.

Founded in 1990, Cornerstone College is a leading co-educational Lutheran secondary school for Years 7–12, nestled in the thriving community of Mount Barker in the beautiful Adelaide Hills. In 2026, the College will support the flourishing of over 750 students through a world-class approach to learning and wellbeing.

With a mission of individual excellence, learning and responsibility for life, Cornerstone College has a bright future – and creates bright futures.

Reporting to the College Board, this is a rare opportunity for an outstanding educational leader to guide Cornerstone College as Principal. The Principal will provide spiritual, educational, operational, industrial and financial leadership and will be a committed Christian who embraces and draws upon the rich tradition of Lutheran spirituality.

The successful candidate will be a highly experienced educational leader with the passion and capacity to lead a dynamic vision for teaching and learning. They will foster an environment where students strive for individual excellence, learn from their missteps and celebrate their achievements.

Importantly, the Principal will embody the values and leadership practices outlined in the Lutheran Growing Deep Leadership and Formation Framework, modelling servant leadership, relational integrity and a commitment to lifelong learning. A collaborative and empowering leadership style, combined with the expertise and enthusiasm to nurture a creative, forward-thinking and faith-inspired educational community, is essential.

As a role model for staff and students, the Principal will demonstrate energy, engagement and a deep commitment to seeking excellence. They will motivate, inspire and give witness to a faith that does justice for all members of the College community.

This is a unique opportunity to lead a successful, inclusive school with a strong culture and a determined focus on attracting, retaining and developing people who are genuinely committed to the very best pedagogical and wellbeing outcomes for young people.
