Key Responsibilities
- Leading strategically: Identify capability requirements and needs to deliver on key priority measures of strategic and operational plans.
- Professional Development: Plan and coordinate professional development programs and education and training activities for regional and school-based staff and students.
- Cultural Guidance: Provide cultural advice and guidance to key stakeholders to support case navigation for Aboriginal and /or Torres Strait Islander students
- Support Services: Analyse trends and patterns in data in order to develop and provide support service programs for schools to encourage the educational participation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.
- Project Management: Undertake project planning, analysis, integration of project activities, and evaluation of the impact of projects and initiatives.
- Policy Development: Research, develop, maintain and review operational policies, standards, procedures, and programs to support the unit's function across the department.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and implications relating to educational outcomes.
- Proven experience in project management, including planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
- Ability to develop and deliver professional development programs.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
