Key Responsibilities

• Leading strategically: Identify capability requirements and needs to deliver on key priority measures of strategic and operational plans.
• Professional Development: Plan and coordinate professional development programs and education and training activities for regional and school-based staff and students.
• Cultural Guidance: Provide cultural advice and guidance to key stakeholders to support case navigation for Aboriginal and /or Torres Strait Islander students
• Support Services: Analyse trends and patterns in data in order to develop and provide support service programs for schools to encourage the educational participation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students.
• Project Management: Undertake project planning, analysis, integration of project activities, and evaluation of the impact of projects and initiatives.
• Policy Development: Research, develop, maintain and review operational policies, standards, procedures, and programs to support the unit's function across the department.

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and implications relating to educational outcomes.
• Proven experience in project management, including planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
• Ability to develop and deliver professional development programs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
