Preschool Learning and Support Officer (Active)

Job Summary

Plunkett St Public School Preschool are seeking a suitable candidate to fill a Preschool SLSO position for term 1 and term 2, 2026. The School Learning and Support Officer (Preschool) works directly with children under the guidance of an early chldhood teacher, providing assistance with the daily preschool program, classroom activities and the care and mangement of children enrolled in the service.

In supporting the preschool teacher, the School Learning Support Officer (Preschool) is required to carry out a range of duties including:

• setting up the classroom and playground
• regular cleaning of toys and equipment
• assisting in the implementation of the program
• supporting the children in their learning

Selection Criteria:

• demonstrated ability to work effectively as a part of a team
• ability to work with young children
• awareness of the needs of young children
• effective communication skills

Applicants:

• must hold, or be working towards, an ACECQA approved Certificate III in Early Childhood Educaiton and Care
• Must have a current WWCC
