Taminmin College is looking for enthusiastic and committed educators to become part of our vibrant team in Humpty Doo, Northern Territory. We have several permanent and fixed-term teaching positions available in various subjects; PE/Outdoor Education, English, Science/Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Digital Technologies and Math, for Years 7 to 12.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and effective lessons to secondary school students.
- Assess and provide feedback on student work to support their academic growth.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies.
- Contribute to the overall educational and extracurricular programs of the college.
- Maintain student records and samples of work and report on student performance to students, parents, the department and other stakeholders as required.
- Actively participate in professional development opportunities to continually enhance your teaching practice.
What we're looking for
- Relevant teaching qualification and registration to practice in the Northern Territory.
- Demonstrated experience teaching in a secondary school setting.
- Strong subject matter expertise and a passion for education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- Commitment to promoting student wellbeing and supporting their holistic development.

All applicants must be registered with the Teacher Registration Board of the Northern Territory and have a current Working with Children Notice (Ochre Card) from SAFE NT.
All applicants completing initial teacher education (ITE) courses after 1 July 2016 are also required to provide proof of successful completion of the national Literacy and Numeracy Test for ITE students.
