St Vincent’s College is seeking to appoint a committed, professional and enthusiastic teacher qualified to teach Mathematics subjects across Years 7 to 12

The successful applicant will have skills in the design and delivery of high-quality learning in Mathematics. They will demonstrate pleasure in classroom teaching of students across a range of ability levels and the ability to work co-operatively with a committed and enthusiastic department. They will have a desire to engage in pedagogical innovation and in integrating evidence-informed practices in the classroom. Strong communication skills and a commitment to growth focused learning for young women is necessary. We are seeking a teacher willing to learn and grow alongside their students and colleagues. Experience in teaching Stage 6 would be an advantage.

Key position criteria

• Qualifications for and/or experience as a classroom Mathematics teacher.
• Be knowledgeable about the NESA Mathematics curriculum.
• Have capacity to teach Mathematics in Stages 4, 5 and 6.
• Be committed to continuous improvement and professional learning.
• Have a commitment to Catholic education, displaying a clear understanding of the ethos of Catholic schools and the particular Mission and Vision of the College
• Intelligent understanding of the connection between emotional and educational growth and willingness to support shared principles and practices in maintaining safe, inclusive and productive learning environments.
• A commitment to promoting a culture of growth and achievement in the classroom.
• Collaborative teaching and work practices and strong communication skills.
• A current Working with Children Check, be committed to safeguarding and promoting the safety, welfare, and well-being of young people.
