A meaningful opportunity exists for a committed person of faith to provide leadership for the School’s liturgical and sacramental life. This exciting new role offers the opportunity to make a lasting contribution to the spiritual life of the School, inspiring and nurturing faith through meaningful liturgical and sacramental experiences.
The role is permanent full time and will commence in Term 4, 2026 or to be mutually agreed.
The Role
- Lead and coordinate the School’s liturgical and sacramental life, developing meaningful liturgies, Eucharistic celebrations and prayer experiences that reflect Gospel, Ignatian and Loreto values.
- Plan and oversee the School’s liturgical and sacramental programs, including whole-school celebration, the sacramental programs, record keeping, liturgical calendar and budget across the School community.
- Build and maintain key relationships with clergy, the Broken Bay Diocese and other stakeholders to support sacramental programs, Masses and liturgical celebrations.
- Support and develop student leadership and participation in the faith life of the School, including mentoring the School Mission Captain, Student Liturgy Committee and Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist.
- Manage liturgical resources and continually enhance programs, overseeing the Chapel, ensuring resources are maintained, evaluating initiatives and supporting events outside standard school hours as required.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- Must hold a valid Working with Children Check.
- A qualified secondary teacher with a current NESA accreditation.
- Demonstrated understanding of Catholic identity, liturgy and sacramental theology.
- Demonstrated understanding of faith formation as a lifelong process of personal, spiritual and professional growth.
- Ability to design, facilitate and evaluate engaging prayer, liturgical and sacramental experiences that foster participation, reflection and discernment.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with students, staff, families, clergy and relevant stakeholders to strengthen the Catholic and Loreto identity of the School.
- Commitment to ongoing theological formation and faith development in the tradition of Ignatian spirituality and the charism and educational vision of Mary Ward.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, coordinate multiple events and programs, and meet deadlines.
