The Role

They are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic KS1 Teaching Assistant to join their vibrant team. The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers to support pupils' learning, with a particular focus on:

• Delivering high-quality Phonics interventions (ideally with experience in Letters and Sounds, Read Write Inc., or similar schemes)
• Supporting children with communication needs using Makaton
• Assisting in the planning and delivery of engaging and inclusive lessons
• Providing one-to-one and small group support
• Promoting positive behaviour and emotional well-being

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience working in a KS1 classroom setting
• Makaton training and practical experience using it in an educational context
• Strong knowledge of Phonics teaching strategies
• A nurturing, patient, and proactive approach
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A relevant Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
