About You

As a HSIE Coordinator, you will provide strategic and instructional leadership, guide curriculum delivery and model exemplary practice. You will bring expertise in NESA and HSC requirements and your work will contribute to every student reaching their full potential through high quality, collaborative and engaging pedagogy. The HSIE Coordinator position is a 2-point promotional role, temporary for up to 3 years, however your teaching position will be full-time and permanent.

To excel in this role, you will be able to:

  • create and implement engaging, rigorous planned learning experiences catering to the diverse needs of students
  • provide leadership and oversight of all HSIE teaching and learning, ensuring excellence in curriculum delivery and assessment
  • demonstrate the ability and qualifications to teach HSIE
  • create and utilise formative and summative assessments to drive student progress
  • employ a data-informed approach to setting challenging learning objectives and providing constructive feedback
  • support and mentor teachers through professional development, feedback, and shared learning approaches
  • support the inclusive Catholic religious and cultural environment for students
  • demonstrate excellent classroom management skills focused on student well-being
  • integrate technology to enhance contemporary learning experiences
  • contribute to the wider life of the school through Co-Curricular involvement, events, and professional learning initiatives.

You will have attained:

  • a tertiary qualification in Education
  • eligibility according to the NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA)
  • Religious Education qualifications or the willingness to achieve them as per Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach, and Lead.
