About the Role – History teacher
As a History teacher at Clarendon, you will inspire students explore the people, events and ideas that have shaped our world. Working within a collaborative and high-performing environment, you will deliver engaging and evidence-based learning experiences that foster historical inquiry, critical thinking and analytical skills. Through a commitment to student growth and a passion for learning, you will support every learner to achieve their potential while developing an appreciation for the past and its influence on the present and future.
Knowledge, skill and qualification requirements:
- Commitment to students' academic, social and emotional development.
- Knowledge of curriculum design, lesson planning and evidence-based teaching practices.
- Ability to analyse and use student data to inform teaching and improve learning outcomes.
- Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues and families.
- Capacity to work collaboratively within a high-performing team.
- Demonstrated commitment to Child Safety.
- Willingness to learn, be resilient and agile.
- A valid Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration or ability to obtain.
