Information Systems - Examinations, Certification and Testing (ECT) are seeking to establish a pool of Helpdesk and Support Officers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during 2026 and 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.
The School Curriculum and Standards Division provides administrative and secretariat services, and implements the decisions of the School Curriculum and Standards Authority (the Authority). The Authority provides quality curriculum, assessment and standards to enable all Western Australian students to become confident, creative learners and active, informed citizens who contribute positively to society.
The Role
Suitable applicants will provide Tier 1 Information Technology (IT) support services through the help desk function, ensuring timely resolution of incidents and service requests related to computing and telecommunication systems. Responsibilities include managing user access across network, email, and telephony services, performing onboarding and offboarding activities, and maintaining accurate configuration records in line with asset and configuration management procedures. The position also involves installing and configuring hardware and software upgrades, monitoring security controls, and contributing to continual improvement of IT processes and standards.
Additional duties include maintaining the equipment register, supporting backup and recovery operations for business continuity, and documenting IT procedures. The role also includes collaboration with external providers for problem resolution for IT systems as required.
