Position Information
Randwick High School's foundation year in 2025 will mark the beginning of a new era for public education in the Eastern Suburbs area. Founded in a rich heritage of public education, we draw strength in our diverse and engaged learning community. Selection Criteria
Applicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position. In addition to the general selection criteria,
- Ability to collaborate with the Senior Executive to support the implementation of a shared vision and the school’s strategic directions, with a commitment to implement and support whole school priorities and initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of the school executive team to coordinate and manage key facets of school operations including the continuous improvement of administrative processes and systems for areas such as daily staff organisation, examination scheduling, duty rosters, variation to routines and managing associated timetabling applications such as Edval.
- Ability to implement high-impact induction, training and mentoring experiences for short-term and casual teaching staff to support the goals of the school.
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal, time management, problem solving and communication skills which enable creative solutions to resolve staff recruitment and retention issues, managing an environment of change and enabling the school curriculum to be delivered.
General Selection Criteria
- Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice.
- Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs.
- Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams.
- Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents.
- Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning.
- Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policy.
