About Our School:
The Queensland Children's Hospital School (QCHS) offers world class educational programs to school-aged children affected by hospitalisation, including patients and family members of hospitalised patients across Queensland to ensure educational continuity for all. The Queensland Children's Hospital School, in partnership with regional hospital programs, is leading excellence in hospital teaching and learning through innovative and inclusive practices.
Step Into Your Next Chapter:
- Lead the implementation of the English/Humanities Australian Curriculum v9 across both Junior and Senior Campus (Prep-10).
- Instructionally lead the shared expectations, strategic use of resources, promote a positive and professional learning environment; and manage instructional programs.
- Provide curriculum coaching of the 3 levels of planning and pedagogical practices across Junior and Senior Campus (Prep-12).
- Coordinate the reporting and assessment of students in Senior Campus classrooms and support classroom teachers to develop term overviews.
- Line manage the library and provide oversight of library resources.
- Liaise with Health teams to manage student allocation to teachers and monitor student progress into, during and out of the program.

Vaccination against Preventable Diseases:
This position requires the successful applicant to work in hospital and health settings, which have additional workplace requirements from Queensland Health. It is mandatory for all roles that come into direct contact with patients to provide evidence of vaccination or proof of non- susceptibility for the following preventable diseases: Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (chickenpox) and Pertussis (whooping cough).
The successful applicant will be provided with official forms to be taken to their local GP for completion and boosters as required. The expectation is that staff have commenced this process before their first work day at QCHS. Any out-of-pocket costs are refunded to staff through QCHS reimbursement processes.
