Frankland River Primary School (PS) is seeking to establish a pool of Mainstream Education Assistants for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year and up to the end of Term 2, 2027. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role

As a Mainstream Education Assistant, you will support teachers in the delivery of planned education programs that promote student learning and development. You will assist with individual and small‑group programs, apply evidence‑based practices, and use your initiative to help prepare and maintain engaging learning environments. Strong written and oral communication skills will enable you to contribute effectively to classroom learning and support the general health and wellbeing of students.

Suitable applicants will ideally be able to work independently and under teacher direction in a highly collaborative team environment. You will ideally foster positive relationships with students and staff, contribute to a positive and inclusive school culture, and demonstrate a commitment to professional growth within a strong action learning framework. Organisational skills, flexibility, and a willingness to support a safe, supportive and well‑organised school environment are desirable.

Eligibility

To work with us, you must:

  • be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
  • obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start; and
  • consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.

    3. Demonstrated sound organisational skills that will assist in the delivery of effective educational programs to students.
    4. Demonstrated ability to assist with the general health and well-being of students.
