About You

As a EAL/D Teacher, you will inspire students through engaging, student-centered teaching within a Catholic learning environment. You'll bring:

• TESOL (or equivalent) qualifications (preferable) and experience teaching EAL/D students
• the ability and willingness to engage in school based identification of LBOTE and EAL/D students, undertaking phasing of EAL/D learners through a variety of modes
• the ability to support EAL/D learners to improve their language development via team/parallel teaching, withdrawal and teaching EAL/D English classes
• a willingness to work collaboratively with the diverse learning team in taking a strategic approach to the implementation of EAL/D and literacy initiatives
• openness to formation in and implemenation of the Catholic Liberal Arts
• a living and dynamic practise of the Catholic faith
• expertise in developing a K-6 Curriculum and the application of effective learning pedagogies
• strong classroom management and student well-being focus
• ability to create inclusive, rigorous learning experiences
• a tertiary qualification in Education and NESA accreditation
• Religious Education qualifications or the willingness to achieve them as per Accreditation Policy to Work, Teach, and Lead.
