Details: The Education Directorate is committed to providing teachers and school leaders with better workloads that prioritise educational leadership, teaching, and learning.
The Director, Teacher Workload Reform is responsible for leading a dedicated work program focused on teacher and school leader workload reform within ACT public schools. The role will support a Sustainable Workload Management Committee (SWMC) which is made up of Education Directorate Senior Executives, Australian Education Union (AEU) Senior Executives and teachers and school leaders from within ACT public schools.
In this role, you will assist in the identification of the drivers of teacher and school leader workloads and lead a series of change programs to implement system-level policy improvements that will make a day-to-day difference across ACT public schools.
To be successful in this role, you will bring your strong understanding of school operations (preferably as a teacher or school leader) to be able to champion new and innovative approaches to the delivery of educational services. This will include streamlining processes, resetting expectations, and the more effective deployment of the increasingly diverse and multidisciplinary workforce within ACT public schools.

Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately for a period of 12 months, with the possibility of extension and/or permanency. Opportunities for flexible working options could include hybrid working, being a combination of working from home, designated office based and FlexiSpace working locations across the ACT, part-time hours, job-sharing, flexible start, and finish times.
