About Us

The Capability branch is located in the State Schools Strategy Division. The Capability branch is committed to a thriving and capable workforce equipped with the skills and confidence to support every student to realise their potential. A key part of the Capability branch is the Education Futures Institute (EFI) that delivers high-quality, evidence-informed and equitable capability development for a diverse workforce across key career stages.

The EFI provides high quality, targeted professional learning for staff located in metropolitan, regional, rural and remote locations across the state. The EFI empowers staff with the skills, knowledge and capability to excel in their role.

The role of Director Educational Leadership is offered on a full-time temporary basis, until 30 June 2026, unless otherwise determined.

About the role

As the Director, Educational Leadership, you will be a valued member of the branch leadership team working to ensure the delivery of a coherent and system-wide approach to high quality, targeted capability development for all staff, educators, school and system leaders. In this pivotal role, you will lead a large, dynamic team to ensure the successful delivery of several high-profile EFI Flagship Programs.

The Director reports to the Senior Principal Capability, Education Futures Institute

  • Demonstrates an understanding of educational leadership flagship programs
