The Role
Hampton SHS is seeking a leading administrator to join their Executive Team as Deputy Principal - Strategic Operations. With outstanding communication and leadership skills, the successful applicant for this role will work in a shared, collaborative arrangement with the Senior Leadership Team, particularly with Head of Learning Areas (HOLAs) and Program Coordinators. Joining the Executive Team - Principal, Deputy Principal Teaching and Learning, Deputy Principal Student Engagement and the Manager of Corporate Services, the successful applicant would play an integral role in strategically leading the continuation of Hampton’s school improvement journey.
The role may include:
- Managing the years 7 to 12 course selection processes, including managing Single Sign-On (SSO) and overseeing all handbooks and post-school pathways publications.
- Overseeing timetable creation, and grid development, maintenance and review.
- Establishing school staffing needs in conjunction with HOLAs.
- Plan within the Schools Resourcing System Reporting setup, timelines, maintenance and Special Educational Needs (SEN) reports with the Manager Corporate Services (MCS) and Principal.
- Managing and maintain Assessment and Reporting through Compass, including a timeline for phased roll out.
- Leading Effective Classroom Practice (as per Business Plan).
- Managing all areas of Year 10-12 exams, including ESTs.
- Managing all aspects of Online Literacy and Numeracy Assessment (OLNA) and National Assessment Program - Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN), including developing processes for data analysis generation and usage.
- Managing all aspects of School Curriculum and Standards Authority (SCSA) compliance.
- Line managing a range of Learning Areas, including Performance Development.
- Deliver professional learning in any of the areas above.

Eligibility
To work with us, you must:
- be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.
- hold registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia
- obtain a valid Working With Children Check before you start; and
- consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education’s Screening Unit before you start.
