Deputy Principal
We are seeking to establish a pool of Deputy Principals for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role
To be considered for a leadership position at Attadale PS, applicants should display excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including an ability to coach, mentor and lead staff and students. Working collaboratively with staff, parents and students to manage student behaviour and assist with student wellbeing based on a positive, educative and restorative mindset is highly desirable. You will ideally have the ability to develop strong relationships and an affinity with students, staff and parents in an open and approachable manner. An ability to autonomously facilitate operational projects would also be highly regarded.
Suitable applicants should be able to display their ability to lead, manage and monitor the continuous school improvement cycle and drive the enhancement of high-quality teaching and learning in every classroom. They should be committed to a model of consultative, collaborative and instructional leadership. They will ideally have an extensive knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum and a proven history of assisting and developing teachers.
Experience in any of the following areas is highly regarded:
- Developing, implementing and monitoring high quality teaching practices aligned to the DoE Teaching for Impact statement and resources
- Instructional leadership in high quality explicit teaching practices
- Leading the management of Students at Educational Risk (SAER) as part of a Student Services team, including liaising with families and external providers
- Curriculum leadership
- Authentically leading a culturally responsive environment
- Leading a culture of whole school culture of academic assessment, review and improvement
- Whole-school values-based behaviour systems including contemporary classroom/behaviour management strategies
- Leading the development of whole school approaches to wellbeing
- Community relations and communications
- Developing staff in the use of Information and Communications Technology in the classroom, including the management of a Bring Your Own Device program
- Leading contemporary Early childhood Education practices aligned to the WA Curriculum, National Quality Standards and The Early Years Framework
- National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) Online
- Academic extension/enrichment
