The Gap State High School has been proudly educating students within the north western suburbs since it first opened in 1960. The school has grown steadily over this time and the facilities have been steadily extended and upgraded on the current site. It is located within approximately a 15 minute drive from the Brisbane CBD and enjoys good access to public transport.

The Gap High has a history of strong academic performances, with students consistently achieving well above state and national benchmarks.

About the Role:

Responsibilities include, but not limited to;

• Provide collaborative and strategic leadership to support the Principal in developing and enacting a shared educational vision that delivers quality learning outcomes for all students.
• Model ethical, values-based leadership by upholding integrity, fairness, and socially just practices in all aspects of school life.
• Promote high standards of performance and professional growth among staff and students through effective leadership, mentoring, and a commitment to lifelong learning.
• Build strong partnerships and community connections with parents, government agencies, industry, and local organisations to enhance educational opportunities and student success.
• Lead effective school management and planning by overseeing resources, understanding legislative and policy requirements, and contributing strategically to the school's future direction.
