College Counsellor - Regis Campus

Saint Ignatius' College Riverview is a Catholic boys' school in the Jesuit tradition. Located on picturesque grounds in Lane Cove, this leading independent school delivers a holistic education for day and boarding students from Years 5 to 12.

We have an exciting opportunity for a qualified and experienced counsellor to support the Year 5 and 6 students on our Regis Campus. The successful applicant will work collaboratively with other members of the Pastoral Care team to provide specialised assistance in regard to individual counselling, liaison and case management, referrals to external professionals/agencies as well as providing advice and resources for teachers and parents.

This is a part-time maternity leave cover for 1 academic year, commencing January 2025. The successful candidate will be required to work 16.5 hours per week during term time only.

ABOUT YOU

The successful candidate will:

• hold formal qualifications in psychology.
• hold current registration with AHPRA.
• be familiar with psychological and education assessment tools such as the WISC V and other measures of cognitive ability.
• have experience in an educational context.
• have experience counselling adolescent males using evidence-based interventions.
