In this role you will:

• Support the health and wellbeing of the children through planning, heating and preparing nutritious meals and snacks
• Prepare meals to meet the needs of children with special dietary requirements and allergies. Meals are provided by a national supplier and need to be heated and served
• Have exceptional knowledge of safety and wellbeing
• Order food supplies in consultation with the Centre Director
• Ensure safe and hygienic storage, handling and preparation of food and drinks
• Be willing to learn and be a part of the team
• Show strong communication skills and be reliable and punctual

You’ll need:

• Experience cooking within a childcare setting would be an advantage but not essential
• Current QLD Working with Children Check (or be willing and able to obtain)
